Halloween Stations

The boys had great fun taking part in our Halloween-themed stations in the classroom. We made clay pumpkins, spider webs, ate some Barm Brack, did some mindful colouring and made chocolate apples.

Halloween Poetry Recital

The boys have been learning a variety of Halloween Poetry; It's Halloween, Happy Halloween, Skeleton Parade and Witch, Witch. Their recitals were excellent - well done everyone who took part!

Halloween Art

We have just finished our first Novel in 2nd Class - The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark.

GOAL Jersey Day 2020 - 09/10/20

DLR Children's Book Festival

We took part in the DLR Children's Book Festival right from our classroom via Zoom. Irish author, Patricia Forde, read us her book To The Island. The boys then brainstormed their own ideas about their island and all of its magical places.

Geography - Local Community

We have been looking at maps of our local area - Dalkey. The boys identified plenty of reasons why tourists might come here to visit. We looked at the maps in the classroom and then went exploring through Dalkey by foot to find certain locations on our map and to mark locations on the map when we returned to school.
