In our recent ASF survey we could see that our students are heavily involved in sports with outside clubs. At Harold Boys' N. S. we think this is fantastic and want to continue to encourage outside school sports and develop links with these clubs where possible.

The results are in for our Active School Flag parent survey. Thank you to the 30 parents who completed it. The headlines are: 60% of parents said they do not get enough information about their child's progress in PE. Teachers will ensure to give more feedback on PE at PT meetings. Only 33% of parents said that their child received PE homework. Teachers will give an activity sheet every Wednesday that must be signed by parents. 73% of parents have not visited our ASF page. We

Our Active School Flag committee are the school's playground leaders every Wednesday. They are in charge of checking everyone is following the yard rules and running our active lines.

There was a fantastic turn out, on 15th October, at our weekly WOW ( Walk on Wednesday ) from Cuala for National Walk to School Week. Well done boys!

We have started playing hockey this year. Our coach Ben from Avoca hockey club taught us lots of new skills and we really enjoyed playing a new sport.

Well done to all the boys who participated in Walk to School Week 2025! The boys ditched their cars this week and opted to walk, cycle, scoot or park-and-stride to make the most of the dry Autumn weather and help the environment while they were at it. Our Green Schools committee kept a record of the boys who walked each day and compiled our data in a colourful bar chart. Maith sibh a bhuachaillí!

The active committee ran a whole school competition for our new Active Flag slogan for 2025/2026. Each class had 3 winners. The committee then voted on the slogan 'We were made in 1901 to be active, sporty and have lots of fun' as the overall winner. We are very happy with our new Active Flag slogan for the year. Go raibh maith agaibh gach duine.

Rang a 6 had a great time playing in their GAA league. Well done representing your school! We are all very proud of you.

The boys were all encouraged to walk to school every day. A survey was carried out and 2nd class had the most students walking to school. Maith sibh rang a 2!

We had a fantastic day at the Thomastown football league! Our three teams played excellently and had a great day in the sun!

Congratulations to our Senior Gaelic Football team who won this year’s Seán O’Gorman shield against The Harold, Glasthule.

We had a fabulous time at the opening of the new playground in Cuala!

Congratulations to Cuala Senior Football Team on winning the all Ireland Club Championships. It is a magnificent achievement and a first for Cuala. Past pupils Cal Doran and Cillian Dunne and our coach Aodhán Inglis visited the school today to speak to the boys and display their Dublin, Leinster and All Ireland trophies. A great day was had by all!

The boys loved their five weeks of tag rugby training with Ryan from Leinster Rugby.
