Science Online Learning

Science doesn't stop just because we are at home. Every Monday we complete a Science experiment at home. In January we were learning all about sound. For the month of February we are learning about heat. Here's some pictures of our experiments.

Respiratory system

This week, we learnt all about the respiratory system. We counted our breaths per minutes at rest. Then we counted our breath rate after 1 minute of star jumps! We found it increased because we need more  oxygen to release energy from our food.

We investigated how plants work. Are the same as humans? Do they breathe, grow, move, transpire, photosynthesis...

What factors are needed for plant growth?

We found out that plants need the following things to grow:

1. Water

2. Light

3. Soil

4. The right temperature

We each designed a flower pot and planted a daffodil. After discovering what a plant needs to grow; we are going to make sure it has light, water, soil and the correct temperature.
