Professional Development for Teachers Whole – school professional development will be provided on the Primary Language Curriculum on November 21st. For this reason, the school will be closed on this date.

History Week takes place on 20th November. Please send in any artefacts you may have. A Historical Fancy Dress will take place on November 24th.

Homework Please ensure your son does not spend longer than the recommended time at his homework. If this is causing a problem, kindly speak to the class teacher about this. The following are the recommended times
Rang 2 0-20 minutes
Rang 3 0-30 minutes
Rang 4 0-30 minutes
Rang 5 0-40 minutes
Rang 6 0-75 minutes

European Coding Week October 7-22
All classes took part in European Coding Week during their computer class time. They used Microsoft, Angry Bird or Gamemaker.

Many thanks to Mathew Hanlon who volunteered to do an extra session of Coding with Fifth and Sixth Class on Wednesday 11th October.

Green School Congratulations to Ronan Prior (6th Class) for his winning Biodiversity slogan Every Animal, Plant and Tree: That’s Biodiversity! The standard of slogans from all classes was superb and we will be putting some of the runners up on display on our Green Schools notice board.There were some colourful additions to the Dalkey Church Gardens on the weekend of the 20th-22nd October as our Wheelbarrow Gardens were brought from the school to the church for display as part of the Dalkey Creates Festival. Well done to the Green Schools committee for planting and looking after this project. Sports News Fifth Class will begin swimming classes on Thursday 9th November. Fifth and Sixth class final of the GAA Senior Autumn League is on Thursday 9th November.
