Newsletter – December 2018

Funding for the school is needed now more than ever: We are very grateful to those of you who have sent in the Voluntary Contribution and urge everyone to do so in the near future. Payments may now be paid online. Please contact Ms Doyle at info@haroldboysdalkey.ie.

Board of Management: The Critical Incident Policy & Plan Framework was ratified at the November Board meeting.

Cyber-Safety Talk: Many thanks to Sharon Goff and the Parents’ Association who organised Internet Safety Talks with Clíona Curley from Cyber Safe Ireland. She gave highly effective, informative talks to our parents and to the pupils of 3rd – 6th class. The boys completed a survey based on their online usage, the results of which will be highlighted in Clíona’s report which will be posted to all parents. There was a high turnout of parents on Wednesday 21st November. This attendance was much appreciated. Thank you.

School Band – The Toasted Specials are the new music sensation in Harold Boys’ N.S. Mr Antoin Bracken is the band’s manager. The group has been rehearsing for the last few months & look forward to their performance. This will take place in Dalkey Church on December 5th at 1pm when they accompany the School Choir in a Christmas Carol Concert. All are welcome to this wonderful celebration of the real meaning of Christmas.
Christmas Concert Invitation to Parents – please join the pupils in Harold Boys’ N.S. in a celebration of Christmas. This will take place in the school hall on Thursday, 20th December. Please note that parents/guardians are permitted to take photographs or videos for private/personal use only & that they must not be uploaded to any website to be viewed by others (e.g. Facebook).
