Fourth and Fifth class took part in the Creative Classrooms Programme organised by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown and Blackrock Education Centre. This was a fantastic opportunity for the boys to work with an artist Claire Halpin, for twelve sessions. Many thanks to Claire who really inspired the boys and allowed them to gain confidence in their own artwork.

The boys incorporated  Dalkey local history into their work. They completed several projects based on the Viking visits to Ireland and did an indepth study of Castle Street, Dalkey. They also went into Dublin to visit the Royal Hibernian Academy where they viewed the exhibitions of Gary Coyle and Oliver Comerford.

The boys completed the programme by having an art exhibition of their own, to which they invited their parents. Well done boys!
