2nd Class Colour and "I saw..." Poetry

Múinteoir: Mrs Costello

Red
By Caylam Gamble

Red is the colour of my favourite team,
Red is the colour I turn when I scream,
Red is warm, it’s the colour of fire,
As the flames go higher and higher!

Yellow
By Conor O’Sullivan

Yellow light
From the sun,
Yellow icing
On a bun!
Yellow banana,
Yellow leaves,
Yellow key-ring,
On the keys!

Red
By Eoin Molloy

Red bubbling lava,
A red fire devil,
Red is for evil,
I turn red!

Red
By Conor McClure

I went on a trip to a volcano once,
Red lava, red sky, red footballs- yes, red ones!
The volcano almost spat out its lava,
So I went back to Ireland, back to Tara!
I am not going to red volcano again!

Red
By Dean O’Higgins

Man. Utd. are red,
Liverpool are red,
Arsenal are red,
Come on red!

2nd Class “I saw…” Poems
Múinteoir: Mrs. Costello

Slippy Floor
By Conor Mc Clure

I saw my friend come in the door,
I saw him slip across the floor,
I saw him hit the ground,
I saw him get up and run round and round!

A Volcano
By Eoin Molloy

I saw a volcano once,
I saw the lava pour out of it once.
I saw the devil climb up the rock once,
I saw the devil fall off the dock once!

The little bug
By Conor OSullivan

I saw the bug crawl on the rug.
I saw it climb up on the wine.
I saw it crawl on the football.
I saw it wiggle on a stick!
